Cleveland's Nuisance Wildlife Program, April 20 2026
You might have heard about Cleveland's new Nuisance Wildlife Program. The city has contracted with Freeman Nuisance Animal Removal and Remedy to assist residents with the removal of groundhogs, skunks, and raccoons across the city. However, there are strict eligibility requirements for receiving this assistance. See the attached flyer for details.
In addition to trapping and removing animals, Freeman's can provide education and guidance on humane wildlife deterrents. If there is enough interest, our block club will arrange for a representative from Freeman's to join an upcoming meeting and speak about this topic.
If a nuisance wildlife education session is something you are interested in, please let us know on this form. https://forms.gle/q4CNE6KU5ZeYfTz68

Master Chrome Update, March 4 2026
We have an update on the Master Chrome property (5709 Herman Ave). The Ohio Controlling Board has approved $5M to develop a scope of work and hire a contractor to remove the waste from inside the building, raze the building, and perform assessment and remedial work at the site.
This week, a fence went up around the property and contractors have begun evaluating the site. Here's a message from Councilperson Austin Davis.
